The Walters Youth Basketball Association is excited to be in the inaugural season of the Southwest Oklahoma Youth Basketball Association league.
SWOYBA was formed by area high school basketball coaches that want to invest and develop our elementary age kids in their skill, knowledge, and love for the game of basketball. Coach Gates has been working alongside all of these area coaches to launch the SWOYBA. We are thrilled to offer this to all of our 1st-6th grade students at Walters
The following schools are a part of the SWOYBA:
Bray-Doyle
Central
Comanche
Duncan
Empire
Marlow
Walters
Waurika
Velma-Alma
There will be girls and boys divisions 1st-6th grade. The 1st-3rd grade divisions will be playing 3v3. The 4th-6th grade divisions will be playing 5v5. The games will start at the beginning of January and end around the first part of March. The games will be played on Saturday mornings. Practices start in November.
After our signups and the other schools complete their sign ups the area coaches will meet again to finalize schedules and locations of games.
If you have any questions please contact Chris Gates
